Black Legacy Media is an independent media company dedicated to telling the real stories of Black people from Jamaica, Africa, and across the diaspora.

From Yard to Pro is our flagship series, telling the real-life journeys of Jamaican athletes chasing professional dreams.

We follow them through the grind — from dusty neighborhood courts to packed arenas, from moments of quiet doubt to celebrations with family and fans.
Each story is as much about the community as it is about the athlete, because no one makes it alone. Too often, the stories of Black athletes are filtered through a lens that doesn’t reflect their full truth.

From Yard to Pro changes that by giving athletes the platform to share their experiences in their own words, backed by visuals and production that match the scale of their talent.
